Our Farmers’ Markets – 2016 Season
The busy season for Johnson Pure Soap has begun. We thought we would highlight the three farmers’ markets that we are a part of and are now officially open for the year.
Riverfront Farmers Market at Ogden Park Farmers Market – Ogden, NC near Wilmington- Every Wednesday from 8 AM – 1 PM
Location: Ogden Park, 615 Ogden Park Dr, at the ball fields closest to Market St. entrance.
A new market for us. Over 30 vendors including Lativa Coffee, Shelton Herb Farm, and Nina’s Bakery. Our opening day is tomorrow. Come out and see us soon!
New Bern Farmers Market – Downtown New Bern, NC – Saturdays from 8 am – 2pm
This is our second year at the New Bern Market. It is a flourishing market that is open year-round. There are so many vendor’s here, with tons of produce, food, and crafts! Not to mention that it is right in the heart of Historic downtown New Bern. New Bern has, in our families humble opinion, the best downtown experience, of anywhere around here! You could easily park and walk all day on Saturday, starting at the Farmers Market, of course!
Within walking distance of the farmers market (some of our family favorites):
Tryon Palace, The Chelsea Restaurant, The Cow Cafe,
The Pepsi Cola store, where Pespi was started!
There is also a beautiful waterfront park and river walk. Tons of neat shops.
New Bern also has 300 years of rich history. So if you are into old buildings, churches, cemeteries, or the revolutionary war, you are sure to find something neat to look at in Downtown New Bern.
We are entering the sixth year of our participation in the Onslow Co. Farmers’ Market. This is OUR market! This is where our business really got started! We love it! We love the people! We love the goods! It’s just a great market.
We sell at all three locations:
- Main Farmers Market – Saturdays from 8:30AM – 1PM
2. Western Blvd. – Big Lots Parking Lot (Behind Wal-Mart) – Thursdays from 10AM – 2PM
3. Camp Lejeune – Main Exchange parking lot – Tuesdays from 10 AM – 2 PM
Also, we are looking forward to being a vendor at the Oak Island Farmers’ Market this year, which opens on May 23rd. We will give an update as this draws near!
