The Farmers Market Season is in full swing!!!

Poplar Grove Farmers Market – Hampstead, NC  – Every Wednesday from 8 AM – 1 PM

This market is definitely one to make a drive for!  They have an awesome atmosphere and great vendors!  It’s quite normal to see beautiful peacocks walking around.  They have a wonderful play area for the kids with slides and swings as well.  It is a state historic site, so  you could even buy a ticket and spend the day touring the old plantation estate grounds!  Come out and see us soon!31645880IMG_20150401_114729997_HDR

New Bern Farmers Market  – Downtown New Bern, NC – Saturdays from 8 am – 2pm

Another new market for us!  Poplar Grove and New Bern markets are both flourishing markets that are a little difficult to get into!  We definitely feel blessed to be apart of this market!  There are so many vendor’s here, with tons of produce, food, and crafts!  Not to mention that it is right in the heart of Historic downtown New Bern. New Bern has, in our families humble opinion, the best downtown experience, of anywhere around here!  You could easily park and walk all day on Saturday, starting at the Farmers Market, of course!

Within walking distance of the farmers market (some of our family favorites):

Tryon Palace, The Chelsea Restaurant, The Cow Cafe,

The Pepsi Cola store, where Pespi was started!

There is also a beautiful waterfront park and river walk.  Tons of neat shops.

New Bern also has 300 years of rich history.  So if you are into old buildings, churches, cemeteries, or the revolutionary war, you are sure to find something neat to look at in Downtown New Bern.
